8/5/12 Letter: We're subsidizing senior citizens to smoke NJ.com Although government cannot prohibit the purchase of cigarettes by these benefit recipients, they can do a few things to make smoking more difficult — such as making “Section 8” and tax-exempt, low-income senior apartments smoke free. Or, at least prohibit all smoking except in a designated outside space.

Smoking ban going into effect for Millville's public housing, officials say  NJ.com At the 498 public housing units — split across seven properties — operated by the Millville Housing Authority (MHA), smoking will be banned from not only inside the residences but outside on balconies and porches as well.
